Description from the seller

Rare and large oil lamp "La Lampe Belge" by Lempereur & Bernard (L&B) – circa 1900.
Not tested!
Description
Magnificent and authentic tabletop brass oil lamp, made in Liège (Belgium) by the famous manufacturer Lempereur & Bernard (L&B). This high-end model dates from the late 19th century or the very early 20th century (Art Nouveau period / 1900s).
The burner control knob is entirely original and bears the authentic embossed inscription: *"BREVETÉS * L & B " surrounded by two stars. The central reservoir as well as the large umbrella-type reflector shade are nicely highlighted by a delicate textured frieze with punched motifs of original origin. The lamp has preserved its superb golden patina and is sold complete with its transparent glass chimney.
A magnificent piece of old industrial silversmithing, ideal for lighting collectors or to enhance a vintage, charming interior.

Technical specifications
• Creator / Manufacturer: Lempereur & Bernard (L&B) - Liège, Belgium
• Era: Circa 1900 (Art Nouveau period)
• Material: Original brass, burner metal, and glass chimney
• Overall height: 61 cm
• Maximum diameter (shade): 22 cm
• Total weight: 1.800 kg (complete lamp)

Condition report
Very good overall condition for its age. The brass body has a very nice surface sheen with no major deformation. The glass is neither cracked nor chipped. The knob mechanism for the wick is present.

Historical note on the condition: One of the three metal feet that support the upper reflector is detached but has been stabilized with an old office pushpin from the period (see photos). This old repair, “in its original state,” is part of the object's history and does not alter its overall superb aesthetics or its stability.
