Autograph document signed by Queen Isabella II of Spain, with a remarkable plate seal, titled 'Firma Reina Isabel II y sello de placa. España - Ultramar. Año 1849', dating from 1849, dimensions 22 cm by 32.5 cm, in Bien Conservada BC condition.
Description from the seller
Signature of Queen of Spain Isabel II given at the Royal Palace of Madrid in the year 1849, when the queen was barely 18 years old. Spectacular Fleur-de-lis Seal
Beautiful original period document with the signature "Yo la Reyna" (I the Queen), with a lovely plate seal in exceptional preservation (This type of seals tended to tear, lose the lis petals, or detach with folding of the paper over the decades. In this specimen the four arms are intact and an extraordinary relief).
In the document the Queen awards the Cruz y Placa de San Hermenegildo to the Governor of Las Tunas (Cuba).
The piece stands out for its superb and rare plate seal in relief, embossed on cut paper with the four arms in the fleur-de-lis of the Bourbon order, in perfect condition, becoming a testimony of enormous visual appeal and historical value for overseas collectors, Cuban history, militaria, and autographs of the Spanish monarchy.
Complete, original period document in magnificent condition. Beautiful piece of Spain’s history. Excellent piece with no reserve price. Great opportunity.
