From Great Britain, the 1884 Halfpenny Slate Blue SG187a Imperforate is mint hinged with both Mint and Used examples, has no certificate, shows an Imperial Crown watermark on the reverse, and gum mostly intact.
Description from the seller
An album page featuring Mint & Used examples of the 1884 Halfpenny Slate Blue, SG187, but including the scarce Imperforate example, SG187a. This stamp is from my late Fathers collection and I have no certificate expertising it, however, as can be seen from the multiple photographs, it appears genuine.
3 photographs show the Imperforate stamp overlaid the standard perforated example. As can clearly seen the Imperforate margins overlap the perforations to such an extent, it cannot be a cut down example. The margins on SG187 were close on all the perforated examples, as can be seen. It has a clear Watermark on the reverse ( Imperial Crown) The gum is mostly intact, although for accuracy, some is missing on the top edges.
Please examine the various photographs to help make an informed decision as they are an important part of the description. This is a no reserve auction, like all my lots, so the bidders can decide, it has to be worth some bids!
