Description from the seller
Louis Christiaan Kalff for Philips – Timor 69 table lamp – about 1970
Original Philips Timor 69 table lamp, designed by Dutch industrial designer Louis Christiaan Kalff (1897–1976) for Philips.
A characteristic design from circa 1970, executed in brown lacquered metal with a brass shaft and a central chrome-plated element in the wide round shade. The combination of the low disc-shaped shade, slender brass stem and round base gives the lamp its recognizable Mid-Century / Space Age appearance.
The lamp bears the Philips brand mark on the base. On the inside of the shade there is also the original Philips “Timor 69” label, mentioning Max. 100W.
The mirror-head lamp in the photos is not included in the sale of the lamp.

Condition
The lamp is in a beautiful, authentic vintage condition. On the shade, base and brass parts there are visible signs of aging and use, small scratches, spots and patina present. These have deliberately not been restored or concealed and contribute to the original character of the object. There are no dents or dings in the shade.
An attractive and recognizable piece of Dutch vintage design, suitable for collectors of Louis Kalff, Philips lighting, Mid-Century Modern and Space Age design.
