Description from the seller
Junghans – Turquoise ceramic tabletop clock with roses and gilding – Germany – 20th century
Description
Elegant vintage table clock of German manufacture, with a Junghans mechanical movement, set into a refined glazed ceramic structure in turquoise, adorned with multicolored floral decorations and gilded details.
An interesting example of clockmaking and decorative art, characterized by a particularly scenographic composition inspired by the sinuous forms of the Rococo style.
Structure and decorations
The ceramic case features an elaborate architectural silhouette with side volutes, wavy profiles, and an elevated base.
The surface is finished with a lively glaze in turquoise blue tones, with lighter shading toward the central part.
On the front a delicate floral decoration stands out, depicting pink roses and small flowers, accompanied by green leaves and botanical motifs.
The gilded decorations follow the contours of the structure, enhancing its shape and giving the whole an elegant and refined appearance.
Movement and dial – Junghans
At the center of the composition is housed a mechanical clock with a light metal dial, black Arabic numerals, and dark hands.
The dial clearly bears the characteristic Junghans logo, showing an eight-pointed star with the letter J.
Junghans is a historic German clockmaker, founded in 1861 in Schramberg, known for producing clocks and mechanical movements.
The dial is surrounded by a richly ornate gilded metal frame with decorative motifs.
The movement is mechanical, manually wound, with adjustment accessible from the back.

On the back of the structure is the original stamp:
