Scope and art-historical significance
The volume documents Miró’s lithographic work during the 1950s and early 1960s.
In addition to the eleven original lithographs, it contains numerous color and black-and-white plate images, detailed descriptions, bibliographic references, and information on printers, publishers, formats, and editions.
The catalog raisonné is an important reference for collectors, art historians, and lovers of Joan Miró’s original prints.
Special collector’s value
The eleven original lithographs constitute a substantial autonomous value component of this edition.
If marketed separately, a cumulative sale value of over €1,000 would generally be possible for the eleven original lithographs, depending on condition, demand, and attainable individual prices. This is a non-binding estimate and not a proven or guaranteed resale value.
Particularly attractive is that the original lithographs are preserved here in the original context of the numbered catalog raisonné volume.
Condition of preservation
Antiquarian copy with age- and storage-related signs of use.
The light linen cover shows visible stains and soiling. Inside the book, there are occasional light discolorations and an older tape repair.
The photographed original lithographs predominantly show strong, well-preserved colors.
A protective dust jacket and a slipcase are not present.
The complete collation of all book pages and lithographs has not been prepared separately.
Notice and disclaimer
The numerous photographs are an essential part of the description and document the actual copy being offered. Please examine the illustrations carefully for condition and features.
The bibliographic details for the eleven original lithographs refer to the standard Ausstattung (specification) of this edition. Signatures and edition numbers of other prints pictured within the volume are not to be understood as personal signatures or numbering of the included book lithographs.
Private sale from my private collection, excluding liability for material defects by law. Excluded are claims for damages to life, body, or health as well as for intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
