Description from the seller

A lot of two ornamented bronze rings
15th-16th c.

A fine pair of bronze finger rings, each with a hoop expanding into an engraved bezel. One example has a bezel decorated with an intricate arrangement of interlaced geometric motifs. The second ring has an oval bezel engraved with a central cross.

The rings are in excavated condition, with age-related surface wear, green and greyish patina, scattered encrustation, and minor surface irregularities, yet retaining their distinctive engraved designs and recognisable shapes.

An appealing pair of historical bronze rings with geometric decoration, ideal for collectors of ancient jewellery, archaeological finger rings, or early metalwork.

2.3 and 2.2 cm.

Belgian collection, acquired in 1980s.
Certificate of authenticity enclosed.
Shipping inside EU only.
