Description from the seller

Pair of antique fireplace irons, made of solid brass and wrought iron, with a classic design inspired by French aesthetics.
Each piece features a turned brass finial, with smooth, balanced lines, accompanied by a base with ornamental volutes, vegetal details, Fleur-de-Lis with pinnacle motifs typical of the craftsmanship of the 19th–early 20th century.

The rear structure, in iron, maintains its original function: to elevate and support the logs to improve the fire’s ventilation. They retain an authentic patina, with the warm luster of aged brass and the iron in its original dark tone, which enhances their historical character.

Approximate measurements

• Height: 20 cm
• Length of the iron bar: 38 cm
• Width of the decorative base: 14 cm.

Ideal for

• Interior decoration with a classic or rustic aesthetic
• Restoration of antique fireplaces
• Collectors of historic metalwork
• Scenery, photography, or ambiance.

With the patina preserved, the metals can be polished to a bright shine very easily and are very practical to handle.

This pair of fire irons is not new, over 120 years old, handmade with their own finishes; the pinnacles have inclinations and irregularities typical of their age and use.
