Description from the seller
A remarkable and impressive specimen of the Globica II Atelierkamera, a professional large-format studio and technical camera of German manufacture.
This camera comes from old unused stock (New Old Stock) and has still resided in the large wooden transport crate. A rare find, especially in this configuration and with the accompanying accessories.
The Globica II is an imposing studio camera with a handsome combination of dark wood and brass-colored metal parts. The camera sits on a large adjustable wheeled stand and features the tall vertical guides that are characteristic of this model.
On the original nameplate it reads:
Atelierkamera Globica II
91/G/09/A
The camera comes with various loose parts and accessories, including several holders/cartridges and accessories as seen in the photos. The large original wooden transport case is also included.
The camera is optically in exceptionally neat condition and appears unused. Due to its age and because we are not specialists in this type of professional studio cameras, the mechanical operation has not been tested. Therefore no warranty is given on the operation or completeness of each technical component.
The Globica II is not only interesting for collectors of historical photography and large-format cameras, but also a particularly impressive display piece due to its size, wooden construction, and numerous brass details.
