Description from the seller
The Philips 12RB461 (also known as the Castor Stereo 461) is a classic vintage tube/transistor receiver manufactured by Philips Germany between 1966 and 1968. This tabletop model is noted for its wooden cabinet and hybrid technology, utilizing both vacuum tubes and early semiconductors (transistors).
It can be used as a stereo amplifier also, with the line aux input.
It's about 2x 6Watt @ 4-8 Ohm
You can pull out the receiving tubes for lower energy consumption.
Incl. Din to rca cable and speakerplugs.
Key specifications of the Castor Stereo 461:
• Technology: Hybrid design featuring 7 tubes (including 2x PC900, ECH81, EF183, 2x ECL86, EM87) and 6 transistors/semiconductors.
• Wavebands: Capable of receiving Long Wave (LW), Medium Wave (MW), Short Wave (SW), and FM (UKW).
• Cabinet: Premium wooden cabinet with front-mounted push-buttons.
• Dimensions: Approximately 650 x 200 x 220 mm; weight around 7.6 kg.
At the time, Philips also supplied this specific radio chassis (the Konzertgerät 12RB461) to furniture manufacturers; consequently, you may occasionally encounter the chassis installed within large vintage audio consoles (such as the famous Liesenkötter Stereo-Musikschrank) alongside a record player.
Rare stereo amplifier with radio with FM and aux input. In original working condition.
Beautiful wood-case.
Clean in and outside. All contacts and knobs cleaned with deoxid.
All lamps work. Only the "eye" tube does not move.
Good reception on FM, but not in stereo.
Carefully shipped.
Some signs of use.
