Chiesa ferro full‑iron campanile clock dial, 90 cm diameter and 17 kg, circa early 20th century (1900–1950), made in France, with four fixing brackets and preserved original patina, sold as‑is without hands or tower mechanism, and in used condition with probable small missing parts.
Description from the seller
Tower clock face quadrant – early 1900s – solid iron – Ø 90 cm
The rarity of this specimen is one of its distinctive features: authentic tower clock faces of this size, made entirely of iron and preserved in their original structure, are today extremely difficult to find on the market.
Magnificent antique original tower clock face, dating roughly to the early 20th century.
An object of great charm and striking presence, handmade entirely in solid iron, with the Roman numerals formed directly by the iron elements and welded to the circular frame. Not a modern decorative reproduction, but an authentic architectural element sourced from a tower clock.
The dial preserves a splendid patina of time, with oxidations, traces of the old finish, and natural marks from prolonged exposure to the weather. These characteristics have been deliberately preserved and tell the story and use of the object.
The dimensions are truly substantial: 90 cm in diameter and a weight of 17 kg, testament to the sturdiness of the solid iron construction.
There are also four original mounting brackets, positioned roughly at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, which allow it to be hung and displayed easily on a wall.
A unique piece, rarely available in its size and type, ideal as a striking decorative element for lofts, historic homes, venues, restaurants, hotels, showrooms, professional studios, or antiquarian and industrial archaeology collections.
Specifications: handmade welded solid iron; diameter 90 cm; weight 17 kg; approximate era early 1900s; Roman numerals integrated into the structure; four mounting brackets; original condition with signs of time, use, and weather exposure.
The dial is sold as seen, lacking hands and the tower clock mechanism.
An authentic fragment of history, today transformable into an extraordinary interior design element.
Shipping available within Italy and Europe at indicated rates. For shipments outside Europe, arrangements must be made.
