Description from the seller

Elegant Italian Art Deco-style sideboard, probably dating from the 1930s–1940s, characterized by refined work in veneered wood and walnut burl.

The piece features a monumental and harmonious structure, with a wide contoured upper surface, an articulated front and two elegant curved glass-front side cabinets with curved glass. The central part consists of a large door with burl veneer panel, adorned with a refined geometrical and floral inlaid decoration.

Numerous decorative details enrich the structure: inlaid fillets and ornamental motifs along the front, decorative applications in gilded metal and symmetrical motifs that emphasize the lines of the furniture. The rounded shapes of the glass-fronts and the base are particularly characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic.

Inside the cabinets there are shelves, while the central door offers a large storage compartment. The locks and decorative elements further contribute to the elegant and refined appearance of the piece.

The sideboard retains a beautiful patina and a notable decorative presence. Normal signs of time and use are present, including scratches, small abrasions, variations in polish and slight surface imperfections, visible in the photographs. No serious structural problems are evident from the photographs.

There is no certain information about the producer or manufacture; the piece is therefore offered as an Italian Art Deco sideboard, without attribution to a specific cabinetmaker.

An important period furnishing accessory, particularly suitable for a dining room, living room, or classic and vintage setting.
