Description from the seller

Display Counter with Wooden and Glass Structure – 1940s/1950s

An artisanal Italian display counter dating from the 1940s or 1950s features a solid solid wood structure with a warm natural finish, highlighting a beautiful grain, probably walnut or burr walnut.

The body is entirely glazed on three sides, with panes of transparent glass inserted into thin metal guides, designed to ensure maximum visibility of the items on display. The front is equipped with sliding glass doors with a system of metal lower tracks, typical of commercial furniture of the era.

The interior features a full-length glass shelf that divides the display space while maintaining lightness and visual continuity. The upper shelf is made of wood with a central glass insert, a functional detail that allowed lighting or a view from above (probably originally associated with internal illumination, still visible in the structure).

The base is fuller and darker, almost a plinth, to give visual and structural stability to the whole.
