Informazioni in Etichetta
Wine name: Pelisa Denomination of Origin: Barbera d'Alba - Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) Producer: Monchiero Carbone (Bottled at origin in Canale - Italy) Vintage: 2021 Motto on the label: "Ogni uss a l'ha so tanbuss" (Piedmontese proverb that means "Every door has its hinge") Alcohol by volume: 14.5% vol. Format: 750 ml (75 cl - e) Allergens: Contains sulfites Organoleptic Sheet Red Still Wine Grape variety: 100% Visual examination: Deep, bright ruby red with intense violet reflections in the early years. Olfactory examination: On the nose it offers a fragrant, vinous bouquet with pronounced notes of ripe plum, cherry, blackberry and subtle floral hints of viola, accompanied by a slight spicy note. Gustative examination: On the palate it is fresh, full and enveloping. The characteristic acidity of Barbera gives great drinkability and momentum, well balanced by a soft structure and a pleasant fruity persistence. Glassware Recommended and Serving: Red wine glass with medium/large opening (Ballon type or Barbera/Chianti glass) to allow proper diffusion of fruity aromas and aeration. Serving temperature: 16 - 18 °C. Food pairings- first courses: Pasta with meat ragù, Piedmontese agnolotti, lasagna and risottos with sausage. Meats: Roasted pork, red meats grilled, mixed boiled meats Piedmontese style and baked poultry. Cheeses and cured meats: Platter of typical cured meats (cooked salami, raw ham) and mid-aged cheeses (Piedmontese Toma, Raschera). Curiosity: The lion with the door knocker: The distinctive logo shows the head of a lion with a door knocker in its mouth, a perfect visual reference to the dialect quotation at the center of the label ("Ogni uss a l'ha so tanbuss"). Connection with Canale and the Roero: The Monchiero Carbone winery is based in Canale, in the heart of the Roero, an area traditionally famed for great wines both whites (Arneis) and reds (Barbera and Nebbiolo).
