Miniature carriage clock in brass, steel, and glass, made in the United Kingdom (1930–1940), with an eight‑day mechanical movement, winding key, no striking, manual day and date indicators, and dimensions 8 cm high, 5.5 cm wide, 4.5 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Miniature mechanical clock with day-of-week and month-date indicators, both manually adjustable.
Small-format tabletop clock, inspired by traditional French carriage clocks. The brass case features upper and lower moldings, vertical supports, and a hinged, articulated handle. The beveled glass panels allow viewing the movement from the sides and the top. A glazed rear door provides access to the adjustments and to the winding mechanism.
The white dial displays Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute scale with red Arabic numerals, and Breguet-style hands. At the bottom there are two small sub-dials: one indicates the days of the week, abbreviated in English, and the other the date of the month. Both indicators are manually adjustable via their respective rear shafts.
Mechanical wind movement with a balance wheel and spiral, visible through the upper glass. A double-ended key is included as shown in the photographs. The piece reproduces a historical French watchmaking type. The brass shows signs of use and minor surface alterations. The crystals and the dial bear the preservation details visible in the photographs, which form part of the description. The timestamp on the images confirms the current state of the piece.
Shipping will be carefully packaged to protect the piece during transit. A tracking number will be provided.
