Description from the seller
Here is an extraordinary, extremely rare and historically monumental stereo biottica plate camera: the Heidoscop 4,5x10,7, manufactured in Germany by the legendary Franke & Heidecke in Braunschweig during the 1920s.
The lot presents itself in good general vintage condition, with normal signs of use and conservation consistent with the century-old age of the object, and it is complete with its original optical block paired.
Optics: The camera is equipped with three original pre-war coordinated lenses. The lenses are structurally intact and free of deep scratches or mold; only a normal, widespread and light vintage patina due to time is present, entirely physiological for a piece of this age.
Mechanics: The lot appears functional at the level of manual mechanical operation. The proprietary central mechanical shutter responds to commands and fires regularly.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as documented by the photographs. The solid, robust rectangular metal housing in black finish preserves a beautiful vintage visual impact, displaying the classic signs of the passage of time, with slight surface opacities.
International tracked shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packing to ensure maximum safety during transport.
