Ziegler: These carpets are made in Afghanistan according to traditions established in the Arak region, in Iran. The British company Ziegler launched production of carpets adapted to European tastes there in the 1870s. The motifs are often copied from Persian carpets. The wool is of very good quality and dyed with natural plant-based dyes.
