Specimen: Vlinder; Scientific name: Gonimbrasia zambesina (Walker, 1865); eight specimens from Kenya, collected in 2021, in good condition, mounted in a display case measuring 18 cm by 27 cm with a depth of 5.5 cm and weighing about 1 kg.
Description from the seller
Butterfly cabinet measuring 18 cm by 27 cm and 5.5 cm deep, with a hook for hanging. The cabinet contains several mounted butterflies, on which the scientific name and distribution area are noted on a label beneath or above the butterfly. The butterfly in the middle bottom is Gonimbrasia zambesina (Walker, 1865) from Kenya. I reared the butterfly from egg in 2021 on Prunus laurocerasus. The eggs come directly from a supplier in Kenya (Kennedy Wamolwa, Nairobi). These suppliers periodically release part of their stock into the protected forest, causing butterfly populations to increase!! Thaumantis odana pupae or butterflies also come from recognized Indonesian breeders. Charissa obscurata and Nymphalis polychloros are interesting European butterflies, and Euxoa culminicola is a very interesting species that occurs only in high mountains, such as the Col de la Bonette in France!
