Morocco; Berber Beni Ouarain rug handmade in thick wool, model Tapis berbère Beni Ouarain fait main en laine épaisse, 276 × 200 cm.
Description from the seller
Beni Ouarain Berber rug – Black diamonds on an natural off-white background – Thick wool – 276 × 200 cm
Magnificent Amazigh rug in Beni Ouarain style, entirely hand-woven in the mountains of the Moroccan High Atlas.
This rug is distinguished by its large motif of black diamonds, drawn on a natural off-white wool background. Its graphic lines, slightly irregular, create a geometric composition that is at once powerful and elegant, characteristic of traditional Berber carpets.
The quality of the wool is exceptional: particularly thick, dense, silky, and plush. Its generous pile offers a rich texture and remarkable comfort underfoot. The density of the weave also adds a very beautiful relief to the motifs, giving this rug an almost sculptural presence.
With its large dimensions of 276 × 200 cm, this rug is a true centerpiece. Its black and off-white contrast allows it to fit equally well in a contemporary, minimalist interior as in a vintage or more traditional space.
A unique piece that combines the simplicity of Amazigh geometric motifs with remarkable wool quality.

About Amazigh rugs
Moroccan Amazigh carpets stem from an ancestral know-how passed down through generations, mainly by women of rural Atlas communities.
Traditionally made from sheep wool, they are particularly appreciated for the quality of their materials, their comfort, and their durability.
Beni Ouarain-style rugs are especially known for their geometric motifs, often composed of dark lines on a natural wool background. Their pared-down aesthetics have gradually found a place in the world of design and interior architecture.
Each rug has its own identity, marked by variations in the design and the natural irregularities of artisanal weaving.
An exceptional piece where wool quality, simplicity of design, and the weaver’s craftsmanship come to the fore.
