Abelisaurus dinosaur tooth fossil from the Cretaceous to Upper Cretaceous period (about 100.5–66 million years ago) in natural condition, originating from Morocco; single object, dimensions 22 mm length × 12 mm width × 5 mm depth, weight 50 g, authentic/original.
Description from the seller
Fossil: An Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth.
Fossil: This perfectly preserved, very large tooth comes from a theropod of the Abelisauridae, a group of carnivorous dinosaurs. They were recognizable by their extremely small forelimbs, short, deep faces, small sharp teeth, and strong muscular hindlimbs.
This tooth comes from an as-yet undescribed Abelisaurid species from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco.
So far, presumably only two Abelisaurid species have been found in Morocco's Kem Kem Beds. One Abelisaurid (Rugops primus) was named after the Echkar Formation in Niger.
Era: Cretaceous, Cenomanian, about 100 million years ago
This tooth has very sharp, fine serrations along both margins.
Fossil length: about 22 mm
Locality: Kem Kem Beds, Morocco
