Country of origin: Morocco; Model: handmade Berber Beni Ouarain rug with geometric motifs.
Description from the seller
Amazigh Berber Rug – Black geometric motifs on an natural ecru background – Beni Ouarain style – 248 × 150 cm
Magnificent Amazigh rug in Beni Ouarain style, entirely hand-woven in the mountains of the Moroccan High Atlas.
This rug is distinguished by its large black geometric motifs on a naturally light wool background. Its asymmetrical composition combines bold abstract shapes and irregular lines, creating a particularly expressive graphic overall.
Far from perfectly regular geometric compositions, this rug asserts a rough, spontaneous aesthetic. Variations in the design reflect the weaver’s creative freedom and give this piece a singular identity.
Made from 100% high-quality sheep wool, it offers a natural and warm texture. The dyes used are entirely natural, in keeping with traditional artisanal techniques.
With its dimensions of 248 × 150 cm, this rug makes a striking piece, ideal for a living room, a bedroom, or a contemporary interior. Its black and ecru contrast harmonizes especially well with vintage furniture, natural materials, and minimalist spaces.
Woven by Samira, in a remote region of the Central High Atlas, this rug is a unique creation that combines traditional Amazigh know-how with contemporary aesthetics.

About Amazigh Rugs
Moroccan Amazigh rugs stem from ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation, mainly by the women of rural Atlas communities.
Each weaver develops her own graphic language through shapes, colors, and patterns. This freedom of creation gives rise to unique pieces where traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary textile art.
Irregularities in the design and weaving attest to the manual work and contribute to the singular character of each rug.
