Nishibe Novel taxi meter, original/official authenticity, dimensions 16.5 cm (W) × 10.5 cm (H) × 8 cm (D), in very good condition with a gold front panel and chrome casing, dating from 1964–1967, and in working order.
Description from the seller
A Japanese taxi meter manufactured by NISHIBE KEIKI MFG. CO., LTD. (Tokyo) during the 1950s or 1960s. While the model was marketed in Europe throughout that era, the serial number indicates this specific unit dates from 1964–1967. It is in very good condition, featuring a gold-colored front panel and only minor scratches on the chrome metal casing; there are no cracked screens or missing parts. The seal remains intact, suggesting it was likely used in Norway or Denmark—the seal bears the letter "N" (possibly standing for Norway?); please see the final photo. It is in working order; the photos were taken while the unit was powered on, showing the fare changing in each shot. Although it is a sturdy item, I will pack it very carefully—protected with polystyrene packing peanuts—to ensure it arrives in excellent condition.
