Makayhos - [Canvas] Uncle Scrooge – Golden Wealth

This monumental work immortalizes the famous richest duck in the world and his grandson in a proud sculptural bas-relief, where a scene submerged in coins, ingots of gold, and wheelbarrows loaded with banknotes emerges forcefully from dense, stratified material. The characters and piles of treasure reach out toward the viewer in a physical, three-dimensional presence, inseparably blending with the marble background and the solemn relief frame.
The white stone background surface is crossed by deep cracks and golden veins, an explicit nod to the practice of kintsugi. This ancient Japanese art symbolizes how fractures and the reassembly of fragments are not defects, but elements of profound beauty, value, and aesthetic rebirth, thereby ennobling the material and the very concept of accumulated wealth. The final effect is an extraordinary optical illusion pressed onto a two-dimensional canvas, conveying the visual deception of a genuine sculptural bas-relief in marble and bricks, even though it is not a true stone relief.
The artwork captures the iconic opulence scene from pop culture in an eternal and motionless condition. Transcending the world of comics and childhood imagination, the composition transforms greed and labor into a fascinating and exclusive sculptural archetype for collectors.
