Description from the seller
This is a finely carved artistic sculpture in red coral (Cerasuolo).
Horsemen on horseback
Branch of natural coral of notable size, carved with openwork (hollow-work and in the round). The form follows the original branching layout of the coral stem.
Decorative Motif: The work highlights a figurative style typical of high-quality Italian craftsmanship from Torre del Greco. It features finely incised phytomorphic and zoomorphic motifs across the entire surface (flowers, pine cones/spherical carved elements, scales, and densely incised and pierced branching).
Color and Quality: The tone ranges from vivid red to dense reddish-orange, typical of Mediterranean coral, with a polished surface that preserves the fine details of the sculpture.
Weight 738.5 g
Height 40 cm
Maximum width 26 cm
The item will be registered and insured
