Metal Caravaggio P2 pendant lamp by Cecilie Manz for Fritz Hansen, Danish origin, Ø26 cm x H34 cm, designed 2010–2020, in good condition with minor signs of age and in working order, uses 1 × E27 (max 100 W) or LED, with a downward light and a subtle glow from the top opening.
Description from the seller
A compact, light form hangs quietly in space, with an effortless calm and an almost graphic clarity.
The Caravaggio P2 is built around a closed, clock-shaped silhouette with carefully balanced proportions.
The white-painted metal shade has a smooth, even finish that crisply defines the volume. The light is directed mainly downward, concentrated and functional, while a subtle opening at the top lets a soft glow escape along the suspension. This keeps the lamp visually present without feeling heavy, while preserving a precise spatial stance.
For Fritz Hansen, Cecilie Manz designed the Caravaggio as a study in reduction and discipline. The design shows how an archetypal form, stripped of superfluous details, can evolve into a timeless and plainly functional object in which calm and usefulness coexist.
Designer: Cecilie Manz
Model: Caravaggio P2
Manufacturer: Fritz Hansen
Dimensions: Diameter 26 cm; height 34 cm
Light source: 1 × E27 (max. 100W), compatible with LED alternative
Notes: Light signs of use appropriate to age and use
