A compact, lightweight hanging lamp in white lacquered metal with a 26 cm diameter and 34 cm height, model Caravaggio P2 by Fritz Hansen designed by Cecilie Manz, originating from Denmark, with a 1 × E27 (max 100 W) bulb and LED compatibility, in good used condition with minor signs of wear from age (2010–2020).
Description from the seller
A compact, light form hangs quietly in the space, with an unmistakable calm and an almost graphic clarity.
The Caravaggio P2 is built around a closed, clock-shaped silhouette with carefully balanced proportions. The white-painted metal screen has a smooth, even finish that defines the volume in a precise way. The light is directed mainly downward, concentrated and functional, while a subtle opening at the top lets a soft glow escape along the suspension. This keeps the lamp visually present without feeling heavy, and it maintains a precise spatial stance.
For Fritz Hansen, Cecilie Manz designed the Caravaggio as a study in reduction and discipline. The design shows how an archetypal form, stripped of superfluous details, can evolve into a timeless and clearly functioning object in which calm and practicality meet.
