• Equipped with a factory sunroof.
• Excellent exterior and interior condition with no rust present.
• ITV valid, recently passed, until October 2026.
HISTORY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Mercedes-Benz W123, produced between 1975 and 1986, is widely recognized as one of the most durable, reliable, and well-built cars in automotive history. The 230E version introduced the 2.3-liter M102 four-cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, offering a perfect balance between smoothness, power, and efficiency. This particular example, registered in 1983 in Spain (Madrid provincial plate M-2114-FF), highlights that it has always belonged to the same family and had a single registered owner[cite: 1, 8]. It records 188,000 kilometers and retains its original specifications.
BODY/P paint:
It presents an exterior paint finish in a vintage yellow/ochre tone in very good overall condition. The body and undercarriage show no signs of rust. It retains the chromed trim, side protectors, and original steel wheels with hubcaps painted to match the body color in good condition. May require repainting a few minor paint defects to look flawless. The molding, protective rubber seals, and door sills are well preserved.
INTERIOR:
Features original black cloth/vinyl upholstery in excellent condition with no visible tears. The dashboard shows no visible cracks, preserving the original four-spoke steering wheel and functional instrument cluster. Comes with a sunroof. Door panels, carpets, and headliner are well preserved. Equipped with manual windows and a radio installed in the center console.
MECHANICAL:
Equipped with a 2.3-liter M102 engine with electronic injection and 136 hp, paired with a manual transmission. Underwent recent maintenance and servicing. Recent work includes cylinder head restoration, a new timing chain kit, water pump replacement, new engine mounts, battery, spark plugs, gasket set, fluids and filters recently changed. Shows smooth mechanical operation and is fully road-ready.
DOCUMENTS:
Spanish documentation all in order. Valid ITV (vehicle inspection) recently passed and valid until October 2026. The car can be inspected and collected in Las Rozas de Madrid or Marbella (Malaga), Spain.
It is recommended to inspect the vehicle before bidding to avoid later disappointments. To arrange an appointment or for more information, please contact Catawiki. Transportation costs, ownership transfer, or export procedures are not included in the final sale price unless otherwise stated.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
