Marcello Furlan designed a Murano glass sculpture from 1989, featuring a yellow transparent body with an orange internal swirl, a blue handgrip, green eyes and a red upper end, hand-signed with the original Vetri Murano label, in excellent vintage condition, measuring 6.5 cm high, 3.5 cm wide and 3.5 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Splendid and imposing artistic sculpture in Murano glass, designed by the famous Venetian master and designer Marcello Furlan and produced in 1989.
The work stands out for a slender, asymmetrical line with post-modern taste, reinterpreting in an ironic and eclectic key a zoomorphic figure (evoking the playful forms of a rooster or a fish). The main body is executed in bright transparent yellow blown glass, enriched inside by a fascinating orange spiral pattern. The decorative details – the large blue/cyan handle applied hot, the green eyes and the red tip at the top – create a vibrant color contrast of great visual impact.
An exceptional collectible piece, which preserves a double and impeccable certificate of authenticity:
• Signature on the bottom: Signed on the bottom with a diamond-point inscription "Marcello Furlan '89".
• Original label: Presents on the front the original adhesive sticker of the Murano Glass consortium, perfectly preserved.
Technical details and characteristics:
• Author / Designer: Marcello Furlan
• Material: Artistic Murano glass (hot-work and blown)
• Year of production: 1989
• Country of origin: Italy (Venice - Murano)
• Conditions: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, nicks, restorations or structural defects observed. The glass maintains transparency and impeccable luster.
An artwork perfect for elite collectors of 20th-century Murano glass or as an exclusive interior design accessory.
The lot will be packed with the utmost professional care and shipped via trackable express courier with reinforced packaging specifically for fragile objects.
