Victorian‑era walnut ribalta secretaire, dating to 1850–1900, with lyre legs and a central vase crosspiece, overall dimensions 129 cm high by 83 cm wide by 60.5 cm deep, weight about 35 kg, can be locked, and in used condition with real damage including a broken internal mirror, stained interior surface, and veneer loss on the front lower right drawer and left upper side, requiring restoration and cleaning.
Description from the seller
Walnut secretary with a flip-top, Victorian era, circa 1880/1900. Large lyre legs and a central vase-shaped stretcher, moulded ovolo frames around the entire perimeter, turned knobs on the top. When opened it becomes a writing desk with eight light-colored drawers and a central mirror. Real damages visible in the photos to declare: interior mirror broken in a triangle, interior top with a flip-front to be restored because stained, veneer peeled on the lower-right front small drawer and on the left side upper, where the light wood is visible underneath. An well-used piece to be cleaned and polished, with signs of wear everywhere. I am selling as pictured, to be restored; the wood is very solid. The lyre legs are equipped with functioning wheels. Regarding pickup on-site in Lusciano, Province of Caserta, I will personally handle the packing. Kind regards,
