Iittala | Six-armed Nappula candelabra & emerald-green Vitriini box | Matti Klenell & Anu Penttinen. Six candles, deep emerald green glass and two designers with a sense of form. The table has already found its company.

This Iittala lot brings together the generous six-armed Nappula candelabra by Matti Klenell with Anu Penttinen's Vitriini box. The contrast makes the combination: soft matte white beside intense green, airy lines opposite thick, glossy glass.

The Nappula immediately catches the eye with its six candle holders at different heights. The round cups and open foot give it a sculptural character, even without candles. It is the earlier six-armed version, which disappeared from the collection at the end of 2017. An interesting collectible for Iittala enthusiasts with an eye for the different versions.

With long dinner candles on a celebratory table, it comes into its own. Linen, beautiful tableware and this candelabra in the center. The occasion then doesn't have to be particularly special. Also on a sideboard or in a carefully arranged studio, it gives the space a pronounced design accent.

The Vitriini box forms a tempting contrast. The emerald green glass gains a deep, rich color due to the thick walls and rounded corners. Depending on the light, it shifts from clear green to darker tones along the edges.

Anu Penttinen designed the Vitriini series in 2010. This example is in excellent condition and has its glass lid, Iittala sticker and the accompanying black brand band. A refined box for a ring, earrings or a small personal item. Empty, it deserves an equally visible place.

Together they form a carefully combined design lot for the dining table, display cabinet, or a collection of Scandinavian design.

Condition

The Vitriini box is in excellent condition. The Nappula candelabra is in good used condition, with light surface signs of wear on the base and some candle holders.
