AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Description:
Elegant and refined antique carved-in-the-wood octagonal frame with gilt wood and stucco in relief, dating from the 19th century and attributable to the manufacturing workshop of the Veneto area. The model stands out for its strong plastic impact and the richness of the cornices: the outer edge is decorated with a dense beaded relief (gadrooning), followed by a smooth groove and an inner profile finished with fluting that tightens toward the rebate. The external corners are enriched with delicate foliate details.
The front gilding is beautifully preserved, characterized by a warm, rich glow that enhances the carved details, accompanied by a minimal patina appropriate to the age of the object. The back shows the antique wooden structure in excellent structural condition, never touched or altered, complete with an antique suspension eyelet.
From a private collection.
