Description from the seller
Regency TR-1 transistor pocket radio, in Cloud Gray, serial number 78336, dateable to 1955.
The Regency TR-1 is one of the most important models in the history of early transistor radios, introduced in 1954.
The unit is accompanied by the original instruction/warranty booklet and by the original carton packaging with internal packing material, as visible in the photographs.
The radio has been opened exclusively for photographing the interior, the components, and the serial number.
It has not been tested or powered, as it uses a Regency No. 215 battery at 22.5 V, today not commonly available. It is therefore offered as an untested collectible item, with no warranty of operation.
The radio shows normal signs of aging and use, including scratches, halos, and superficial wear. The booklet and the packaging also show stains, wear, and deterioration consistent with age.
The interior, original labels, and the serial number 78336 are documented in the photographs.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
