Set of coffee cups with saucers composed of: 2 + 2 + 2 and a Richard Ginori tray, produced in the 1960s-70s by the renowned Manifattura di Doccia in Florence. Made in fine white porcelain with delicate reliefs, this charming service is adorned with the iconic “Galli Rossi” motif: stylized roosters and floral elements in a rich rust red, completed by elegant 24k gold accents applied by hand. The motif, originally introduced in 1747, is one of the most refined expressions of Italian ceramic tradition. Inspired by oriental imagery – Japanese/Chinese, the design depicts two roosters in a dynamic pose among stylized rocks and a willow tree. Reinterpreted in the mid-20th century, the motif has retained its elegance while appealing to modern sensibilities. Each piece in the set is produced with a transfer process enriched by hand-finished details, a hallmark of Ginori’s high-end collections of the era. The gilded edges highlight the raised surfaces, adding texture and sophistication. The porcelain is bright, fine, and durable, exemplifying the exceptional quality typical of Ginori production in the mid-century. The back stamp – “Richard Ginori - Manifattura di Doccia Florence Italy” – places the set between 1965 and 1975, when the brand achieved a perfect balance between classical tradition and international style. Discontinued after the 1980s, this model has become increasingly rare and collectible. A true jewel of Italian craftsmanship, this coffee set is as practical as it is decorative. It is a perfect complement for a vintage sideboard, a country-chic kitchen, or a timeless breakfast nook. Size: 4 cups height 5.5 cm × diameter 5.3 cm with saucers diameter 10.8 cm and 2 cups (smerlate) shaped in the classic “Vecchio Ginori” form: height 6 cm × diameter 6.5 cm with saucers diameter 11.5 cm – a 6-oval tray, chocolate-dish holder 15.8 × 12 cm.
