Carcharodontosaur - Fossil tooth - Carcharodontosaurus Saharicus - 10 cm

CARCHARODONTOSAURUS SAHARICUS – FOSSIL TOOTH

For sale: an authentic fossil tooth of Carcharodontosaurus saharicus, one of the largest and most impressive predatory dinosaurs from the Late Cretaceous of North Africa.

Carcharodontosaurus saharicus was a massive carcharodontosaurid theropod and one of the apex predators of its time. The species lived in North Africa during the Cenomanian, about 96 million years ago, and occurred in the same ecosystem as, among others, Spinosaurus. Fossil teeth attributed to Carcharodontosaurus are known from the Cenomanian Kem Kem Group of Morocco.

SPECIMEN INFORMATION

• Species: Carcharodontosaurus saharicus
• Type: Fossil tooth
• Geological group: Kem Kem Group
