AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Superb and authentic collectible lot consisting of 7 large calots (shooters) in hand-blown glass and fully handcrafted, dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century (circa 1890-1920). Probable origin: Lauscha region (Germany).
Each piece has a substantial diameter of 24 mm to 25 mm, a caliber rare and particularly sought after by collectors of antique playful glassware. Unlike industrial productions, these calots feature magnificent organic asymmetries, fine internal air bubbles trapped, and, for most, traces of pontil marks characteristic of artisanal work with the glassblower’s cane.

Detail of each calot (from left to right) / Detailed description of each marble :

Top Row :

1. Calot "Core Swirl" two-tone: Transparent glass base containing a core of white filaments in a lattice-like cage, superbly encircled on the outside by cobalt blue and brick red helical ribbons.
2. Calot "Amber Clear Swirl": Translucent glass with an amber/citrine hue, imprisoning threads and ribbons of red-orange and Canary yellow winding harmoniously from one pole to the other.
3. Calot "Blue Mica / Inclusions": Magnificent model in intense cobalt blue glass, adorned with a white swirling core and small internal silver inclusions creating sparkling reflections in the light.

Bottom Row :

4. Calot "Clear Ribbon Swirl" (Embossed): Clear glass matrix speckled with fine age impurities, traversed by thick asymmetric royal blue and bright yellow ribbons forming unique volutes.
5. Calot "Red & Yellow Core Swirl": Translucent base housing a very dense bright yellow inner spiral, accentuated by blood-red outer lines and a contrasting blue ribbon.
6. Calot "Rainbow Swirl": Large transparent shooter housing a complex central core where shades of red, yellow and suspended blue lines mingle.
7. Calot "Solid Core / Onionskin style": Remarkable model featuring a solid opaque white and neon-yellow core, wrapped in an outer layer of perfectly clear glass.
