Wooden side table with a polychrome inlaid top in a Sorrentine style, model Intarsi policromi carillon, 50 cm high, 43 cm wide, 33 cm deep, dating to 1960–1970, with a functioning carillon and an uneven patina due to wear.
Description from the seller
**Side table with a Sorrentino-style inlaid top, saber legs and carillon**
Small wooden table in the style of the nineteenth century, characterized by a rich inlaid top, four elegant saber legs and a **working music box**, which adds to the piece the charm of a musical object.
The rectangular top, with rounded corners, features vegetal motifs, scrolls and geometric borders arranged around a central medallion. The decoration recalls the tradition of Sorrento marquetry, without certified provenance. Honey and amber tones alternate with deep browns and reddish hues, creating a warm and evocative color range.
The patina and traces of time give the table a distinctive presence: a small piece of furniture with a lived-in character, suitable beside an armchair, in a study or in a space dedicated to unusual objects and curiosities.
**Dimensions:** height 50 × width 43 × depth 33 cm.
The structure is sturdy and in good condition, only the top shows numerous missing portions of the inlay and wooden veneer, cracks, scratches and widespread wear, clearly visible in the photographs. It has only been waxed with beeswax and preserved in its original state, without rebuilding the missing parts, to preserve the patina, colors and signs of time. Carillon tested and working. Conditions as shown in the photographs, part of the description.
