Description from the seller
Vintage Balancing Fisherman Toy – Moving Folk Art Sculpture
This charming vintage balancing fisherman toy is a delightful example of whimsical folk-art design. Crafted from hand-painted metal, the piece features a fisherman dressed in a bright yellow coat and hat, standing above a group of colorful fish mounted on curved balancing arms.
What makes this toy especially captivating is its interactive movement. When gently pushed, the structure begins to sway, causing the fisherman’s arm and the fish hanging from his fishing rod to move back and forth, cleverly mimicking the motion of fishing. The fish below move in harmony with the balance, creating a playful kinetic display that brings the scene to life.
The toy is painted in vivid colors—yellow, red, green, and blue—with a beautiful crackled vintage finish that adds to its rustic character and authenticity.
