IRRADIO - PENNY - MILANO 1958 - DESIGN OBJECT - VERY RARE Tube radio

Rarissima Irradio Penny of 1958, elegant valve radio from Italy with reception in medium wave and short wave.

Its strength is undoubtedly the front, characterized by a wonderful chromed grille with a geometric design, perfectly matched to the cream-colored cabinet.

At the center of the talking scale sits the most distinctive detail: a small female figure singing into a microphone, visible through a kind of little window carved into the chromed structure.

An original and very evocative element, which perfectly recalls the famous Irradio slogan: “The voice that enchants”.

The talking scale, with numerous international cities and stations, completes a typically Fifties design, rich in details yet elegant and compact at the same time.

A model that appears on the market very rarely and deserves attention from collectors. A particular specimen, recognizable at first glance and difficult to find at auction with these characteristics.

CONDITIONS:

The radio presents itself in good aesthetic condition, with normal signs of time compatible with the age of the object.

The radio powers on. It was not possible to verify the reception of stations, as in Italy national radio transmissions on short, medium and long waves have been discontinued. Any reception of foreign broadcasters or other signals may vary depending on the area, propagation conditions and the antenna used.
