Description from the seller
This is an antique portable suitcase gramophone, dating from roughly 1910-1920. The Dulcetto brand is a well-known British brand of the era, used initially (1905) by Phono Exchange in London, and subsequently, during the 1920s, for the line of gramophones from the British Poliphon company. The gramophone is equipped with a side crank that serves to wind the internal mechanical motor before playback; the acoustic arm supports the stylus that rests on the disc to transmit the sound vibrations. The gramophone case features a slot/holder for 78 rpm records. The case is made of wood covered with brown leather and needs repair; only the spring that supports the playback needle requires attention. Dimensions: height 16 cm / width 35 cm / depth 31 cm, with a weight of 7 kg! Shipping via smart option or hand delivery in Turin with insurance included.
