Description from the seller
Leica M5 (Restored)
Serial number: 1350805
It features a unique aesthetic combining a brushed finish with black chrome facade elements.
This restoration work was carried out by a professional specialist. The process involved stripping the original chrome from each piece, then applying multiple layers of high-quality oven-fired enamel. A four-layer, fine-coating technique ensures a durable finish that resists chipping; this meticulous work guarantees longevity while preventing oxidation and paint peeling.
The device is in excellent condition and fully functional, with an impeccable, elegant finish. All components have been tested; the body is in very good condition and the shutter speeds are precise. The rangefinder mechanism functions correctly and the shutter curtains are perfectly flat and defect-free.
The viewfinder has been serviced by Leica professionals; it is bright and clear, allowing quick and precise focusing thanks to the yellow indicator.
The light meter cell activates correctly and includes the original battery; the battery compartment is free of corrosion. Please note that the cell has not undergone rigorous calibration testing; therefore, absolute measurement accuracy is not guaranteed.
Delivered with a Voigtländer brass adapter ring (L39 to LM mount) and a body cap.
compliant with the photos.
Note: all functions will undergo thorough testing prior to shipping, and full details will be recorded.
