Description from the seller

Pair of porcelain white goose-shaped salt and pepper shakers with spoons and original box – circa 1960, with gold leaf decorations.

Elegant vintage Limoges porcelain table set from France, around 1960.

The set consists of two salt-cellars / small condiment salt shakers shaped like swans, made of white glazed porcelain and enriched with a rich gold decoration. The interiors, wings, beaks, and numerous feather details feature a bright gold finish, elegantly contrasted with the white porcelain.

The two original spoons in gold-tone metal are included, each with its own stand, and the rare original Bordeaux-colored case with a satin ivory-lined interior.

The two swans present sinuous sculpted lines, with gracefully arched necks, surfaces coated in a bright gold finish and interiors in white glazed porcelain. The color contrast highlights the harmonious forms and gives the set a remarkable aesthetic presence. On the base there is the characteristic circular mark Pâtes et Émaux de Limoges, with a central star.

The service is complete with the two coordinating gold-tone metal spoons and its elegant vintage case with a geometric exterior pattern and ivory fabric-lined interior. The set is in excellent condition, with particularly bright gold gilding. A refined testament to French decorative art of the 20th century, ideal for enriching an elegant table setting, enhancing a Limoges porcelain collection, or becoming a unique collectible gift.

Tracked shipping and careful packaging; low-cost couriers will not be used.
