Listed in auction is an authentic Opinel N.08 for mushrooms, one of the most iconic and appreciated tools by mushroom foraging enthusiasts. Designed and made in France, this knife blends Opinel's artisanal tradition with functionality studied down to the smallest detail, becoming the ideal companion for forest excursions.
The 8 cm curved stainless steel blade allows precise severing of the mushroom stem, preserving the mycelium and facilitating accurate harvesting. On the back of the blade there is a handy serrated edge, ideal for gently scraping the stem and removing stubborn soil residues.
The beechwood handle, French beech wood, sturdy and pleasant to the touch, is finished with a special coating that effectively protects it from moisture and dirt. At the end of the handle there is a natural-bristle brush, perfect for immediately cleaning boletes, chanterelles, sponge mushrooms, burned mushrooms, button mushrooms, and all the main mushroom varieties directly during collection.
Completing the knife is the famous Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, which allows locking the blade both in the open and closed positions, ensuring maximum safety during use and transport.
