Four K2-Jaspis-Freiformen meteorites from Madagascar, Freiformen mineral form with vivid blue inclusions, total weight 2170.11 g.
Description from the seller
These extraordinary K2 freeforms impress with their characteristic combination of bright, silvery-gray to whitish base tones and intensely blue inclusions. The striking color contrasts give every single stone a distinctive presence and make this particular mineral group an attractive eye-catcher for collectors and lovers of exceptional natural stones.
The interplay of the fine, granular textures with the vivid blue spots and irregular markings is especially appealing. While some areas appear more calm and subdued, the bright blue inclusions provide expressive accents. The natural distribution of the colors creates varied patterns, which differ from specimen to specimen and invite closer inspection.
Known as the K2 natural stone, it comes from the region of K2 in the Karakoram Mountains on the border between Pakistan and China. It is especially known for its white to gray base areas with striking blue azurite inclusions. Silver-gray pyrite is often involved as well, creating fine metallic accents on some pieces. It is precisely this unusual combination of different minerals that makes K2 a coveted collector’s piece with high recognizability.
The carefully crafted freeforms emphasize the natural beauty of the material. Their rounded contours, harmonious proportions, and smoothly polished surfaces showcase the individual patterns particularly well. The glossy finish creates an elegant contrast to the fine-grained structure of the rock. Depending on the lighting, the blue inclusions may appear subtle or particularly intense, giving the stones a lively optical depth.
