We present an elegant Beijing rug, Aubusson style, crafted during the period 1970-1980.
It is woven in wool on a cotton base using the manual tufting technique. In this system, the wool is inserted manually into the base and fixed on the reverse side with a special adhesive compound. Finally, a protective textile lining is added, which provides stability and protects the entire underside structure.
It stands out for its delicate floral design, its soft pastel tones and the lovely sheen of the wool, which changes slightly with lighting.
The rug is in perfect condition, practically like new and barely used, since it has only been laid on the floor on two occasions. The protective backing lining is also in excellent condition.
