This handcrafted service originates from the world-famous French ceramics center Vallauris and is stamped at the bottom with the authentic mark "Céramique J. Milazzo - Vallauris".

Joseph Milazzo is a renowned French master potter and a pioneer within the Keramia tradition of Vallauris. He settled in Vallauris after the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and around 1880 established his famous own workshop, called "Au Vieux Vallauris". Milazzo is known for his high-quality artistic earthenware, innovative design, and masterful smooth glaze techniques. Ceramics pieces with his original signature are considered rare collectibles that hardly ever appear on the market in such complete sets.

This set is rendered in a warm honey-yellow and ochre glaze with subtle dark accents and a beautiful gloss. The clean, geometric handles on the pots and the distinctive, ergonomic ear-like handles of the cups exude the timeless elegance of early Art Deco / Mid-Century style.
