This ritual wooden marriage cup from the Congolese SUKU tribe. Beautifully designed doubled cup from which the wedding couple drinks during the wedding ceremony, to confirm their marriage. Rituals were performed to protect the couple against things that could harm their harmony. Splendid hard wood, with a warm dark-brown tint, it is gracefully shaped. 2 ancestor figures on both sides of the cup.
