Cruet set - Liturgical set for Mass in gilded bronze and glass – Important provenance from a Roman Eminence –

A fascinating liturgical service for Mass for water and wine, coming from the private collection of a prominent Roman prelate.
The two glass ampoules, of rounded shape, are adorned with mounts, handles and caps in gilded bronze, each crowned with a cross. All of it rests on a heavy forged tray, with a strongly tactile and sculptural surface, decorated with crosses passing through.
An object born for the rite, but today capable of asserting itself as a testimony of sacred art and Italian liturgical design of the late twentieth century.
Good vintage condition, with patina, slight tarnish and normal signs of time that confirm its age and use. The glass is intact.
