Description from the seller

Equipped with detailed biblical scenes. This type of richly illustrated, figurative damask was machine-woven on mechanical Jacquard looms during that period. This was done frequently in renowned workshops in Germany (Saxony/Lower Lusatia), Kortrijk (Belgium), and Schone (Sweden).
In the central part and the bands, a refined depiction of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci is woven. In addition, the cloth shows other biblical scenes, including Jesus blessing the children, flanked by palm trees, floral motifs, and religious symbols such as the chalice, the crown of thorns, and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove.
The set is complete with 6 accompanying damask napkins, each featuring an elegant, hand-embroidered monogram "WB". The damask weave has a beautiful sheen that, depending on the light, comes to life in a brilliant way. Perfect for a festively laid table (as for Easter or Christmas) or as a unique collectible for lovers of religious art and exclusive textiles.
