Description from the seller
A stylish, high-tier Cognac expression from the historic house of Martell. Positioned between V.S.O.P. and X.O. quality tiers, Martell Noblige is renowned for its smooth, oak-driven complexity, fruity elegance, and signature distillation refinement.
An outstanding bottle of Noblige Cognac from Maison Martell (est. 1715), the oldest of the classic "Big Four" Cognac houses.
The name Noblige draws inspiration from the old French phrase "Noblesse Oblige" ("nobility obligates"), reflecting Martell's commitment to uncompromising winemaking and distillation standards. Formulated with a higher proportion of aged eaux-de-vie than a standard V.S.O.P., Noblige acts as a refined bridge toward the X.O. category.
Distilled exclusively from clear wines free of lees, Martell’s signature method crafts eaux-de-vie of remarkable fruit purity, freshness, and aromatic charm. Maturation in fine-grained Tronçais oak barrels infuses the spirit with rich wood sweetness, soft spices, and velvet structure.
In the glass, it shows a deep amber-copper color with golden brilliance. The aromatic nose displays intense notes of pear, caramelized prune, vanilla pod, toasted almond, cedar, and subtle exotic spices. On the palate, it is remarkably smooth and well-balanced, presenting a rich structure of dark fruit, warm oak, and a lingering, elegant finish.
