AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A pair of extremely rare and refined antique vases, crafted in pink opaline glass on the outside with a white interior. France, around 1850–1870 (mid-19th century). These are two pieces of the highest artisanal workmanship, finely worked and rich in period details: Each vase is set and fixed on a refined gilded bronze support structure.

The base rests securely on three shaped feet, finely decorated with decorative spheres. The structure is further enhanced by chains and hanging bronze rings that delicately wrap around the body of the vase.

Within gold-framed oval medallions, two different floral paintings are featured, executed entirely by hand with visible, tactile brushstrokes that are rich in charm. On the back of each vase is a radiant decorative motif painted in gold in the shape of a star or rosette.

Height: 17.6 cm
Base width of the feet: (Vase 1: 10.5 x 9.5 cm) (Vase 2: 10.1 x 9 cm)
(Slight natural variation due to the artisanal handmade production).

CONDITION: The vases are in excellent condition considering their age. The glass is completely intact, free from chips, cracks or breaks. May be present some traces of use, small imperfections from artisanal craftsmanship.

Pieces of great collectible and decorative value, perfect for antique lovers, for opaline glass of the era and for French decorative art of the 1800s.
